Otter and Lily Mug (Second, Read Description)

This cute otter is swimming amongst colorful lily pads and flowers. 

This mug is a second, due to severe plucking that occurred around the foot due to sticking during firing. I had to grind down a significant portion of the foot and angle into a bit of the painting. This had the effect of shaving down a small portion of the handle (see photo). The mug sits true and still looks good, my loss is your gain!

This mug is extensively painted around the whole outside, it is gorgeous from every angle! Unglazed and burnished painted areas stand out with colorful glazes, providing an interesting tactile and visual contrast. Carved lines are glaze filled.

All unglazed areas are treated with liquid quartz which provides protection from oils, dirt and UV damage.
